I am Emilie, a bilingual tourism consultant with 20+ years of experience.
I believe tourism can be a force for good and a driver for social, cultural, environmental and economic vitality when in alignment with a community’s values and aspirations. I believe tourism has the power to contribute to the regeneration of ecosystems, cultures, languages, sense of place, livelihoods, human connections. Tourism has the power to restore some balance in the chaotic world we find ourselves. Tourism drives openness, compassion and sharing.
I can bring my expertise to the service of your destination in the areas of destination development & stewardship, strategic planning, research, community engagement and co-creation, experience development, sustainability planning and certification and training.

Nice to meet you
Born French-Canadian, I have lived and worked between the places I know best and love: British Columbia, Quebec and France, but I am now expanding my work globally.
When I am not in my home office or travelling to help communities thrive through tourism, you will find me roaming around the mountains of Hautes-Alpes (Southern French Alps) where I live with my husband, daughter and our cat or volunteering in my community.

My values
I see the world as a living system where the humans, plants, animals, the land and the water are all interdependent, all connected.
Any vision, plan or development must consider the balance between all those elements.
I value diversity and inclusion and I am on a continuous journey to enhance my cultural agility.
As a proud Canadian born on the traditional unceded territory of the Huron-Wendat Nation, I value and respect Indigenous peoples and I honour the rights, strive to learn about the culture and respect the land where I stand.

My Experience
Tourism has been the thread to my career and way of life since I was 16.
I guided youth groups on outdoor adventure trips. I worked in the front line as a server, housekeeper, visitor information agent, reservation agent, salesperson in ski and outdoor shops and more.
I studied tourism in University and worked for DMO’s and government entities leading large scale destination management projects.
I know, understand and love tourism inside and out. I look forward to working with you, sharing ideas, growing and learning.
Tourism can be the catalyst for the change this planet needs.
